White Oak Creek Lodge is built on consistency and preparation, and this FAQ reflects the way we operate.

General Hunting Questions

  • What types of hunting do you offer?

    We offer deer hunting trips and turkey hunting trips, including both guided and unguided options.

  • Where is White Oak Creek Lodge located?

    We are located in Barbour County, Alabama, just south of Eufaula in the Black Belt region.

  • How large is the hunting property?

    Our main lodge property includes over 3,000 acres of managed hunting land. We also offer additional cabin properties.

  • How many hunters are allowed at one time?

    We limit the lodge property to six hunters at a time to maintain quality and reduce hunting pressure.


Lodge and Accommodations

  • Is lodging included with hunts?

    Yes, all lodge hunts include lodging and meals. Cabin hunts include furnished accommodations but may require you to bring your own food.

  • What amenities are available at the lodge?

    The lodge includes comfortable sleeping areas, Southern meals, DirecTV, wireless internet, and climate control.

  • What should I bring for my stay?

    Bring your hunting gear, personal items, and any specific equipment you prefer. Cabin guests should also bring food unless otherwise arranged.

Hunting Experience

  • Do you offer guided hunting trips?

    Yes, we offer guided hunting trips for both deer and turkey, along with unguided options for experienced hunters.

  • What is included in a guided hunt?

    Guided hunts include lodging, meals, access to the property, and guidance based on experience and current conditions.

  • Are unguided hunts available?

    Yes, unguided hunts are available for hunters who prefer independence while still benefiting from managed land.

  • What are the rules for harvesting deer?

    All bucks must have at least 4 points on one side and measure at least 16 inches wide. This supports our trophy management program.

Property Rules and Guidelines

  • Are ATVs or side-by-sides allowed?

    No, motorized vehicles are not allowed on the lodge property during hunting season to avoid disturbing wildlife.

  • How is game retrieved?

    We provide game retrieval services for lodge hunts to assist hunters after a harvest.

  • Can I bring my own stands or equipment?

    Yes, especially for cabin hunts, hunters may bring additional equipment such as climbers.

Booking and Payments

  • Is a deposit required to book a hunt?

    Yes, a 50 percent deposit is required at the time of booking.

  • Are deposits refundable?

    No, deposits are non-refundable.

  • When is the remaining balance due?

    The remaining balance is due upon arrival and must be paid in cash.

  • Are there additional fees?

    A 10 percent gratuity is added to lodge hunts and paid in cash upon arrival. Additional fees may apply for sub-standard bucks or extra harvests.

Licenses and Requirements

  • Do I need a hunting license?

    Yes, all hunters must have a valid Alabama hunting license.

  • What is a baiting privilege license?

    It is a required license for hunting over bait in Alabama. All hunters must have one regardless of age.

  • Where can I purchase licenses?

    Licenses can be purchased through the Alabama Department of Conservation website.

Scheduling and Arrival

  • What time should I arrive?

    Arrival time is between 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM Central Time.

  • Can I arrive early?

    No, we ask that you do not arrive before 11:30 AM to allow time for guest turnover.

  • What time is check-out?

    Check-out is at 10:30 AM.

    Yes, the property is located in Alabama’s Black Belt and is managed specifically for trophy whitetail deer.
